"Parisian Commode From Ile-de-france In Walnut From The 18th Century Stamped C. Lebesgue"
Beautiful walnut chest of drawers from the 18th century opening onto the curved facade with five drawers in three rows, including a “secret”, in the center under the top. The low scalloped crossbar joins two rounded and molded uprights ending in straight feet. It is stamped C. LEBESGUE (Claude Lebesgue), from a family of Parisian cabinetmakers. Claude flourished in the first half of the 18th century and used the stamp with Jurande, reproduced on the rear crosspiece of the chest of drawers (see photo). Very beautiful molding of the drawer fronts with old bronzes. The molded top of a corbin beak is nicely curved on the front. Very good quality and perfect original condition. W/D/H: 131 x 65 x 87 cm. Interior height of a drawer: 18 cm.
