Circa 1960/1970 France Haute Couture evening dress designed by Maison Carven in blue silk chiffon dating from the 60s/70s. Bustier with thin straps and large neckline embroidered with blue and green sequins in rosettes and cabochons set with glass beads. Tight, fitted dress with fully pleated bustier in two tones of blue silk crepe. Two pleated panels intersect at the waist and hips to refine a fluid and light silhouette. A wide bias-cut silk chiffon veil hugs the shoulders and falls in a train to the bottom of the skirt. All sewing finishes are done by hand. Bustier lining in blue silk pongee. Brand white background blue graphics Carven 6 Rond Point des Champs Elysées Paris Made in France numbered 11150. A slight discoloration of the muslin in the armpits otherwise very good condition of color and conservation.
