"Pair Of 18th Century French Regency Chairs In Beech"
A wonderful and rare pair of sculpted Regency chairs in beech, believed to date from around 1720, and raised on four cabriole legs. These supremely comfortable chairs feature shaped, padded backs and seats, beautifully upholstered in apricot-coloured fabric, secured all round with ornate braid. The frames are delicately carved with a stunning floral cartouche at the crest and apron, as well as intricate scrollwork on each shoulder and front leg. The chairs are in excellent antique condition, although there are some signs of age and wear, as well as some small repairs.
