Important Art Deco sculpture (height 1 m 43) in gilded ceramic with cracked enamels depicting an elegant woman with very pure cubist lines dressed in antique drapery resting on a sculpted stone pedestal with a triangular pattern structured in steps and half faceted -fluted colonnades. This statue matches a model listed on the cover photo of the catalog "L'Esprit Art Déco" by Dan Klein, Nancy A. McClelland and Malcolm Haslam published by Éditions Flammarion, this literary reference corresponds to a lot from the Private Collection of Felix Marcilhac sold by Sotheby's on March 11, 2014 representing a pair of panels decorated with women in wood carved in bas-relief, our model appears on the right panel (see document) moreover the same pair of statue has been the subject of an attribution to the sculptor Gustave Miklos during a session in Drouot by the Le Floch auction house.
