Suite of 4 Louis XV style chairs in painted wood and upholstered cushions. Beautiful series of 4 Louis XV style chairs, quality work in molded beech and carved with flowers, the wood painted in yellow ocher tones with a pretty patina. Dating from the first half of the 20th century, these 4 chairs are made in the traditional way, with doweled assembly, and we notice that the cane back is mounted as in the 18th century with a glazing bead on the back facing. This type of manufacturing and patina recalls the productions of a house specializing in the copy of old seats such as the Mailfert house in Orléans. The seats and backrest retain their original canework, this one shows wear, removable pads recalling the principle of frame seats were made to measure both for the seat but also for the backrest, guaranteeing the conservation of the canework while retaining the decorative side with the canework visible on the back of each seat, moreover these pads guarantee interesting comfort. The fabric used to cover the removable pads is a 100% printed cotton of the “Indian” type, very decorative and high quality. This fabric was very fashionable in the 18th and 19th centuries, here it is the Bangalore model, Heritage collection from the Casal diffusion house. The 4 chairs are perfectly stable and solid with good seating comfort. Back height: 96 cm Seat height: 46 cm Total width: 52 cm Total depth: 58 cm
