"Engraved Shepherd's Horn - Folk Art - 19th Century"
Bovine horn richly engraved on both sides showing on each a shepherd and his sheep in the middle of four potted plants. The two scenes are surrounded by decorations with friezes of plants. At the summit, a mountain range appears. The inside of the neck is threaded, no cap, the bottom is white wood. Shepherd's work from the 19th century and probably a tobacco juice horn from Lorraine.
Condition report : fairly good condition, missing a small iron side attachment for the rope in the upper part, a small lack of material near the base, a few stains.
