Rare piece of furniture from the Loire Valley, in solid cherry wood and in one piece, dating from the mid-19th century. This piece of furniture has, in the lower part, a door with a doweled miter cut frame, allowing an interior molding to stand out in the mass as well as around the perimeter. This door, mounted on a pair of brass hinges, is equipped with a functional and authentic iron lock, with a brass cock entrance. The interior includes a shelf on cleats. The amounts are rounded and end straight. Above this part, we find an inclined, lifting flap with a slight half-round molding in relief. It opens with brass hinges onto a storage compartment. The upper part of this piece of furniture, set back, has a higher door of the same construction as the bottom and equally identical uprights. The interior offers three adjustable shelves on racks. This property is topped with a cornice with half-round molding giving the projection. The sides are made up of two similar panels at the top and a large panel at the bottom.
