"Copper Plaque “the Objurgation Of Galileo” 19th Century"
Embossed copper plaque representing a court scene, probably the objurgations of Galileo trying to avoid being forced to recant before the Inquisition. Many characters on this very finely carved plaqueOak frame and row of gilded eggs (small missing) slight depression around the edge of the plaque.
