"19th Century Trumeau Overmantle Mirror"
A fine Louis XVI style trumeau overmantle mirror in wood and gilded stucco. Its upper section features an oval-shaped reproduction of an original colour engraving of an 18th-century pastoral scene, enclosed within delicate pearl beading and topped with a festoon of ribbons and flower garlands. The mirror plate itself is bevelled and enclosed within a frame embellished with beadings of ribbon and pearl. The mirror dates from the end of 19th century, and is in very good condition, with some minor areas of wear in places in keeping with its age and usage.
