Gaston Delaparède (1908-1995) born in the southwest, Gaston Delaparède is a French painter, draftsman and watercolorist. Married to a woman from Concarnoise, he immortalized numerous landscapes around the city, but also subjects from North Africa, Algeria and Morocco. Gaston Delaparède paints scenes of Breton villages and ports, in very colorful tones. We feel the certain influence of Mathurin Méheut in his style as well as that of Maurice Moy. He has a Parisian workshop and sells very little. The collection of his workshop was dispersed after his death by his heirs, around a thousand works.
