He studied art at the School of Fine Arts in Nantes and produced his first work in Paris in 1952. From 1953 to 1960, he exhibited notably in Paris, Germany, Mexico and Great Britain. Personal exhibitions in Paris in 1964, in Mexico in 1968 and in Deauville in 1971, in the United States in 1973. He received the Lafont prize and the nude prize at the Salon national in Paris.
