"Wax Case In Gold And Enamel, Late 18 Century."
Gold wax case with a frustoconical shape with an oval section. It is entirely chiseled with parallel striations decorated with round pellets. The upper part lined with three belts of small nails alternating with very fine threads of blue enamel ends with a swirling rosette. A banner bearing the inscription “memory of friendship” as well as two pigeons symbolizing love complete the decor. The base is also decorated at both ends with two studded bands. The decor represents a man in a red coat accompanied by a greyhound placing a crown of white pearls at the foot of a alter while a barefoot lady dressed in green comes to offer a lamb.
