"Boulle Style Marquetry Box Signed Alphonse Giroux"
Louis XIV style box in Boulle style marquetry in brass on a red tortoiseshell background. the base and the edge of the lid are decorated with bronze sticks decorated with friezes, the lid bears a central cartouche numbered "CC", the signature on the top of the lock (with a key). The interior is in compartmented burl veneer. Napoleon III period. Very good general condition despite some wear. DIMENSIONS: 29cmx21cm and 11cm high. Delivery on estimate.
