Very pretty pair of Empire style Cuban mahogany flat back armchairs. -The two front feet are straight and terminate in bronze hooves decorated with claws. The two hind feet are sabre-shaped. - - The front belt is slightly arched. The armrests have fabric cuffs. -Trim redone in the old way. Pretty striped fabrics. -Rich ornamentation of gilded and chiseled bronzes decorated with palmettes and rosettes. -French work around 1880. -Spacious and comfortable seats very representative of the 1st Empire style.
