"Large 'well' Roasting Tray \ Roastbeef, Ironstone Imari | England 19th \ 20th Century"
Large serving dish for meat, in the centre the typical 'tree' tapering by casting. The decoration inspired by the Imari tradition, illuminated with gold flicks, is very neat and scenic. In generally good condition, it has a scratch in the lower margin still to be restored (price in present condition).

Staffordshire "Ironstone porcelain", is a fine white vitreous semi-porcelain prepared by "high firing", commonly used for fine but durable tableware. Imari Ironstone patterns were predominantly in use in the 18th and early 19th centuries.
