"Anonymat Flamand - 'wayfarer In The Village' Huile Sur Panneau"
Painted on a tablet datable to the 18th/ 19th century, this scene of a traveller in transit through the village where a woman probably points in the right direction, in spite of the direction indicated by the man's hand. The male figure, followed by the horses and mule in turn laden with burdens, appears to be more of a traveller than a pilgrim, also flanked by the dog, but there are no details to define a more precise destination or context.
Good state of preservation, however, one might consider cleaning to recover chromatic brightness. Measurements 41x34cm approx.
