Anthony Klitz (Southport 1917-Dublin 2000) was an Irishman who produced many portraits of cities, mainly London . It is known for its foggy atmosphere. Muted palettes and blurred edges are common in his works. He was interested in architecture from the beginning and wanted to study in this field. His images show a fine but restrained sense of color and he is extremely sensitive to the London scene. Whether it's Horse Guards Parade, the River or even Trafalgar Square, Klitz has captured this strange pearly light which is the secret of so much grace in London.
