This figurative statue in patinated bronze was made at the end of the 19th century by the famous French sculptor Émile Louis Picault.This statue represents the classical Greek goddess Hebe, daughter of Zeus and Hera. She is young and beautiful and depicted sitting on the back of an eagle; the eagle is Zeus, his father, in animal form.
