"Ghoum Silk Carpet, Iran, Shah Period Around 1950."
GHOUM all-silk carpet, of Iranian origin, dating from the time of the Shah around the 1950s, is characterized by a raspberry field, hosting a Persian miniature scene, where 4 horsemen and 2 men on foot, richly dressed, armed with picks and bows, devote themselves to hunting deer and felids. This scene is located in the middle of lush nature, where a whole varied bestiary hunts, observes where death flees. Two sky borders with garlands of flowers frame the main sea where polychrome fauna and flora coexist, under the threat of archers, drawing their bows. Beautiful example of polychrome Persian hunting.
