Very rare pair of earthenware wall plaques, decorated in blue monochrome. On one, an architecture with the porch of the entrance to a town with a building in the foreground and a tower, on the right a character with a mule. It is marked with the initials PC at the top right. The second plaque, decorated in blue tones, depicts a fortified town on the banks of a river with a sailboat, watchtowers along the ramparts, a castle on top of the hill and houses along the river. It is animated with characters near a well. Marked with the initials PC at the top right. Delft, 18th/19th century. In an ebonized wooden frame (later). Condition: in good general condition. Dimensions: 16 x 22 cm and 15.5 x 21.5 cm.
