Portrait of a woman towards the end of the 19th century.

Charles François Vuillermet was a Vaudois painter born in Grange-neuve sur Morges in 1849 and died in 1918. Very early attracted by drawing, he took painting and engraving lessons with Brynet in Lausanne. He then did internships in Paris, Munich and Zurich and traveled in Europe. He exhibited in Paris and London then settled in Lausanne where he specialized in portraits and landscapes. He participated in the Geneva National Exhibition in 1896 and the Paris Universal Exhibition in 1900.
