Paul Denarié (1859-1942) A pupil of William Bouguereau, he frequented the painters of Auvers-sur-Oise from 1881. He spent many periods in Normandy and Brittany, but most of his work was done in the Paris area: Pontoise, Auvers-sur-Oise, Cergy, etc. His favourite subjects were reconstructions of scenes from everyday life, scenes of fairs and markets. His works can be seen in the art museums of Cherbourg, Rouen and Le Havre.
Augustin Feyen-Perrin (1826-1888) Painter of religious subjects, history, figures, nudes, portraits, genre scenes, typical scenes, lively landscapes, waterscapes and seascapes, draughtsman. He entered the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1848, where he studied under Léon Cogniet and Adolphe Yvon. He exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1848 to 1882, winning medals in 1865 and 1867. Augustin Feyen-Perrin was one of the public's favourite painters for many years, and his paintings caused a sensation at the Salon. Along with his brother Jacques Eugène Feyen, he was the official painter of the fishermen of Cancale.
