Object description :

"Pair Of Small Candlesticks In Chiseled And Gilded Bronze From The Empire/restoration Period"
Beautiful pair of small candlesticks in chiseled and gilded bronze called "toilet"; Tapered in shape starting with flutes, followed by rows of twisted beads, daisy frieze and beaded crosspieces. The whole rests on a circular base also decorated with: twisted pearls, a frieze of ivy leaves, and finished with their bobèche. Each candle holder is made up of seven independent pieces which is a guarantee of quality, and they have retained their original threaded rods. Beautiful gilding with alternating matt and shiny and the whole is in very good condition. I would be pleased to offer you a pair of candles from Trudon, "royal wax factory founded in 1643".
