Saxon porcelain. Decor in the style of Meissen including a mantel clock and a pair of candlesticks decorated with applied porcelain monkeys playing music, 19th century. 35 x 33 x 12 cm Full porcelain trim, cast and delicately glazed with high and low temperature tones, including gilding. There is a white dial with blue Roman numerals for the hours and black Arabic numerals for the minutes, with openwork hands in a classic style. The dial is part of a complex sculptural structure, entirely defined by the rounded elements that compose it, with no underlying structure, architectural or otherwise, visible. Signature under base. Excellent condition.
