"Suite Of 4 Important Terracotta Columns - Art Nouveau Period - Stamped Oustau"
Suite of 4 large glazed terracotta columns, topped with their flower pots. They consist of 4 elements which fit into each other. Some traces of usual restorations. From the Art Nouveau period, they are stamped "Oustau-Tarbes", the famous Aureilhan tile factory. "The factory bore the name of its founder Laurence Oustau (1835-1929). The red factory was the first created (in 1873). The facades, made up of varnished and tinted bricks (8 different shades used) were added in 1881 with the aim of showing the know-how of the factory and making it a sort of showcase. Three buildings made it up: the red factory (ceramics), the white factory (pavers and pipes) and the pottery. Production ceased in 1970. Almost all of it has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1994." Possibility of selling in pairs.
