Paul Robert Bazé, born in Paris on December 28, 1901 and died in Cambo-les-Bains on July 2, 1985, is a French painter. In 1919 he entered the School of Fine Arts and Decorative Arts in Bordeaux as a student of Paul Quinsac. In 1923, on scholarship from the city of Bordeaux, he became a student of Lucien Simon at the Paris School of Fine Arts. In 1926 he received an honorable mention at the Salon des artistes français and won the First Grand Prix de Rome 1928. In 1967 he subsequently became curator of the Bonnat museum in Bayonne where he moved in 1938. A square in Bayonne bears his name.
