Nigeria, Mambila people, first half of the 20th century, very interesting “Tadep” type statuette in hardwood, with a dark brown patina with shiny reflections. She is cut straight, her hands placed on her stomach, her head triangular in shape with a slightly concave heart-shaped face. The facial features are prominent, the eyes like coffee beans and the mouth open.Height 18.5 cm (22.5 cm with base). The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to everyone.
Good condition except for visible traces of xylophagous attacks, now completely neutralized; without impact on the very beautiful aesthetic of this piece.
