Chiseled bronze print with nuanced brown patina.
Lost wax casting by SUSSE Frères. Paris, circa 1925.
Rectangular base forming a terrace in black marble (Shards at the corners).
Signed 'Constant ROUX' in cursive letters, foundry stamp 'Susse Frères' and mention 'Lost wax'.
Large model Height 45cm Very good condition.
Beautiful patina.
Bronze only: H35 x L30 x D31.5 cm. Bronze with terrace: H44.5 x L37.5 x D31.5 cm.

Constant Roux (1865-1942) began and brilliantly concluded his career with a single work: The Wrath of Achilles. Indeed, she opened the doors of the Villa Medici to him at the end of the competition for the Grand Prix de Rome in 1894 and awarded him a medal of honor at the Salon of the Society of French Artists in 1930
