Magnificent gouache, fine and delicate with superb lighting, with many details. Remarkable quality. It represents a lake landscape (Switzerland or Italy) Perhaps located with this building on the left and the mountains in the background. It is signed lower left, Mr. Dunant. This is Jean Marc Dunant, Swiss landscape painter born in 1818 in Geneva. died in 1888. He was a student of Alexandre Calame and Guignon. he worked in Rome and visited Venice, Umbria, Tuscany, also staying in the south of France. He chooses very touristy views of Italian lakes, southern villages, etc. Present in Bénézit and the little masters of painting by Gérald Schurr. His works are preserved in the Rath and Ariana museums in Geneva. Very good state. Old gilded wood frame measuring 22.5 cm x 17 cm. Gouache alone, 13.6 cm x 9 cm.
