"Still Life Dutch-style Flower Bouquet"
"Bouquet of flowers at the exit of the garden". Oil on panel. Nineteenth century. In the style of Dutch compositions from the 17th century, the bouquet is arranged in front of a dark background which contrasts with the variety and richness of the colors of the flowers represented. The artist is inspired by the beauty of nature and pays great attention to the balance of the composition and the richness of the details of the different botanical species: roses, tulips, lilacs, anemones, poppies… It is the representation of a freshly picked bouquet, coming out of the garden, offered to us by the painter with blooming flowers simply grouped together in a rattan basket placed on a stone or on the top of a wooden table. The painting is presented in an octagonal gilded frame very lightly chiseled with branches and blooming flowers. Painting on plywood. Slight traces of wear and restorations. The whole in excellent condition. Signed lower right.
Dimensions of the octagonal panel: 98 x 78 cm
