William Shakespeare, playwright, poet, actor (born around 1589 – died 1616).

Lovely bust of William Shakespeare in gilded bronze with old gold patina, mounted on a blackened wooden base.
Very good quality and fineness of the carving, unsigned.

Period: early or mid-19th century.

It is in good condition, no shock, beautiful patina, slight wear over time, note that two small screws are missing under the object (see photos).
