"Pairs Of Embraces In Mottled And Black Wool Trimmings With Pompoms - Second Empire Circa 1860"
Circa 1860 or before France Beautiful pair of tiebacks for a pair of curtains with long polychrome and black mottled wool trimmings tassels dating from the Second Empire. Remarkable work of a French trimmings maker from the 19th century, particularly in the work of the pompoms. Long length of sliding cords. A few pulled threads and slight patina on the cords, no other defects. Good condition of color and conservation. I have others of the same origin and style on request. Dimensions: Pompom fringe height 16 cm, total height of each tassel 26 cm, drawstring length 45 cm.
