Rare and exceptional Pau coffee pot in solid silver resting on three beautiful raised clog feet topped with a pearl. Baluster-shaped body engraved with period coat of arms under Marquis Crown. Perimeter of the lid, and of the handle hood at each end with gadroon friezes. Finial of the lid resting on a twisted terrace. Remarkably hallmarked piece (body, lid, each foot, spout and hood) with Hallmarks for PAU circa 1770 and Hallmark of Master Goldsmith Pierre MENETON (Hallmark for M Crowned). Exceptional coffee maker from the rare Bureau de Pau in very good condition and remarkably hallmarked, engraved with period coats of arms, beautiful patina and micro-scratches from use.
