A very large green Aubusson tapestry with exotic decoration of a village and houses and castle in a mountain site; the dense vegetation is made up of numerous exotic trees and plants, palm trees, etc. Two large birds fly in the sky. On the right a palace with a fountain which feeds a pond. A very wide border decorated with flowers, castle in cartouches, and birds in the spandrels, surrounds the large central subject. This tapestry is in fairly good general condition. Old restorations, small tears. Dimensions: length 520cm, height 270 cm Price 16,000 euros
