Michel BEPOIX Michel Bepoix, born in Nice on June 22, 1937, is a French painter, composing in his early works both characters and figures, animals, nudes, landscapes, interiors, still lifes, flowers. In 1954, at the age of seventeen, Michel Bepoix successfully passed the entrance exam to the National School of Decorative Arts in Nice and joined the workshop of sculptor Maurice Gambier. The most sought-after works of this painter are those from the 50s/60s. Those which bear witness to the expressionism initiated at the same time by Bernard Buffet.
