“Pipe Tomahawk” or Tomahawk Calumet – Plains Indian / North America Very beautiful tomahawk calumet (“pipe tomahawk”) whose pierced handle holds a pendant made of sewn leather and decorated with pearls. The wooden handle is hollow and constitutes the stem of this ceremonial pipe. The wood is worked using the technique known as burned wood. The blade is wrought iron. Beautiful patina of wood and oxidized iron, giving a beautiful aesthetic appearance to the object.
