Traditional exchange currency known as "stick" used on the northern coast of Papua New Guinea in the Lumi region. Assembly of bone slices (fish vertebrae?), obtained by manual abrasion, and fixed on a stick using plant fibers. Wood, bones and cassowary feathers . Currency sold with a stand. 70 x 3 x 5 cm / €300 including shipping costs.
