Large oriental vase in hand-painted papier maché, in gold, black and a touch of red.
Work of remarkable delicacy, medallions, epigraphic decorations, friezes, foliage make up this piece.
The Cashemiris (India) have excelled in these complex works for many years, but this vase wins the prize for refinement, such is the fine decoration. Circa 1960 - 1970 and in very good condition.
