Rare and charming little mirror decorated with glass plates painted under glass in imitation of fine stones surrounded by blackened wooden sticks and enclosing a mercury mirror engraved with volutes, columns and a basket of flowers. Everything is fixed on a pine frame. Original hook on the reverse. Some small cracks and small losses to the painted glasses, very slight wear from the mercury of the ice. Italian work from Venice, late 17th or early 18th century. Woodwork: 40 cm X 26.5 cm. Mirror: 24.5 cm x 19 cm.
