"Rare Suite Of Six Liner Chairs, England – Early 20th Century"
Superb English-made boat furniture dating from the early 20th century. Each of these 6 seats is swivel and made of mahogany and brass. On the base rotates a mahogany slab whose slightly rounded edge rests behind a brass element fixed by four screws. The seat base is hollowed out in the interior with a slight movement in the center. This rests on a large cylindrical brass barrel whose lower part has a large collar fixed on a circular base in solid mahogany. In the upper part, the trapezoid-shaped backrest is held at the top by a cylindrical brass element returning on each side of the seat. This brass part is embedded in the back with a half-round screw. Under the seat, the steel part pivots in relation to the central barrel and can be dismantled if necessary.
