Circa 1900-1920 Belgium Large three-piece livery, coat, vest and breeches with the logo of the famous Belgian princely family Caraman-Chimey. Illustrious family whose best-known muse is Countess Greffulhe. Tailed coat in navy blue wool cloth, complete with brass buttons bearing the crown of this family. Gray silk lining bearing the label of the Max Alexandre fashion house, 27 Rue Belliard in Brussels, as well as a handwritten bolduc indicating Caraman-Chimay. Vest and breeches in gold-yellow woolen cloth with superb silver braid and silver duck tassels at the bottom of the breeches. Vest complete with crown buttons and red percale back. Large bridge panties lined with cotton. Four to five needlepoint stains on the front of the vest, the only flaw to note. Exceptionally good condition for this period.
