Porcelain box hand-painted decoration on the lid
by André Golse, in Limoges France in the style of Sèvres richly decorated with a gallant country concert scene in the style of the 18th century, on a blue oven background imitating Sèvres, embellished with foliage in fine gold. circa 1880-1900. .
Signed in gold "Golse". on the lid.
Mark in blue underneath : two enlaced "L" with an "s" in the middle.
André Golse ceramic decorator who worked in the 19th century in Limoges after having filed a patent in 1884 for relief enamels which would become his trademark.
In a perfect condition.
All with strong highlights of Louis XVI-inspired matte gilding.
