A handsome circular vase with a wide, flattened body topped by a stepped, softened rim and a tubular neck flared at the top. It is flanked by two arched cylindrical handles, starting at the lower shoulder and attaching to the middle of the neck.
Its surface features a beautiful crackled glaze; the combination of this beautiful texture and its powerful yet harmonious shape gives this vase great aesthetic appeal.
It is most certainly the work of a great ceramist whom we have been unable to identify.
The object is in good condition; however, it should be noted that its glaze shows a number of surface bubbles from the glaze that burst during firing (see the two penultimate photos), but this is discreet and does not really detract from its aesthetics.
