Salvator Rosa (1615-1673) is a 17th century Italian artist, active in Naples, Rome and Florence. He painted hunting landscapes, with vegetation, beaches, mountains and caves. He was one of the first to paint "romantic" landscapes, with a talent for picturesque scenes.
