"Black&white: Neo-classical Turning Masterpiece, Circa 1830"
Superb corbeille, a beautiful work from blackened pear wood, turned, engraved of palmettes and water leaves still Empire style, openwork, enriched with one gallery of 66 fine balusters inlaid in edges, two-tone, alternately wood and turned bone. Superb: not one is missing.
This cup rests on a round screwable foot, with two friezes also engraved.
French or British work, around 1830-40. Take a good look at our photos.
