"18th Century Armored Sterling Silver Bowl"
Beautiful silver bowl from the 18th century. It has a gadrooned shape and filleted contours. At the bottom of the dish the double coat of arms was erased to inscribe letters in the 18th century, they are held on both sides by greyhounds and topped with a marquis crown. Note on the edge of the object an addition of letters in a typical 19th century shield. Hallmarks of the Parisian Master Goldsmith: ROUSSY (Alexandre de). Crowned fleur-de-lis, two grains, ADR, one rose. Received master on September 24, 1738. Letter date: N crowned 1750. Very good condition.
