"Little Happiness Of A Lady's Day In The Louis XVI Transition / Restoration Taste – Late 19th Century"
Charming little solid mahogany furniture composed of a sliding curtain, fitted with brass buttons and formed of small quarter-round slats, revealing a writing space. There we discover two small identical drawers equipped with brass buttons and topped with a niche. A sliding shelf appears. It has a mahogany surround and is darkened with black leather with a gold vignette. This cylinder has rounded sides with two grooves. Above the cylinder, we have two drawers whose perimeter has a small strip. They also have brass pull knobs. This little joy of the day is topped with a blue gray Turquin Marble, surrounded by an openwork brass gallery with a knockout from the bottom. This piece of furniture rests on two Lyre-shaped legs covered in the center with three brass cylinders. In the lower part, these two parts are connected by two wooden elements whose edges below are grooved. Finally, the whole rests on flared cut-out legs. Harmonious and elegant, this small piece of quality furniture will delight with its functionality and ideal dimensions.
