"Cartel Louis XIV Style Bronze Napoleon III"
Important gilded bronze cartel. Pediment with fame and fire pots, cornice with frieze of intertwined fleurons and pearls. Acanthus falls, antique vases and shells. Openwork gallery with interlacing, old man's mask. Large dial with enamelled cartouches with Roman numerals, decoration of foliage and divinities. Front and rear uprights with female busts in consoles, drops of fleurons. Sides with picketed crosspieces, shells, florets and acanthus. Base of the uprights in reversed consoles, apron decorated with trimmings. Egg-shaped loaf feet. Circa 1880. Movement revised by a watchmaker, instructions provided.
