"Green Tara Nepal 19th Century"
Tara Nepal Himalayan art sculpture from the 19th century, cast in copper and silver representing one of the feminine emanations of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, seated in ardhaparyanka on a lotus flower base. The figure wears sumptuous jewelry and has the right hand in the varadamudra gesture, while the left is in vitarkamudra. Both hands hold tendrils of lotus flowers that reach her shoulders.
