"Large Sculpture Illuminating Lamp "lumina Clarté" 25,6" By Le Verrier - 1928 Art Deco"
Large and iconic Clarté Lumina lamp, illuminating sculpture from the Art Deco period, in cast iron from an old edition by Max Le Verrier, depicting a dancer with a refined line holding a cracked glass globe in her hands. It rests on a hexagonal stepped portor marble, the original nuanced green patina. This is a flagship model from the Max Le Verrier workshops made in different dimensions, which after obtaining a gold medal in 1925 at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris, published several sculptures. This was exhibited at the POMPIDOU center, at HARROD'S in London as well as at the Grand Palais, at the MARTINEZ hotel in Cannes and at the Lutetia hotel in Paris which had two copies before its last renovation. This lamp is electrified and perfectly functional. Signature “Le Verrier” hollow on the base.
